Subject: ‘Hokusai gashiki’ (Hokusai’s drawing style), a booklet with two text pages and miscellaneous sketches on two single-pages and nineteen double-pages. After the first edition, published 1820, several editions followed and with intervals parts of some of the original blocks were altered.

Date: 1819, this impression dating from the mid 19th century.

Condition: Cover rather worn and some pages with some soil or having a minute or small paper repair at top or on the bottom corner, otherwise good; good impression and colours; printed in tones of grey, pink and blue. The first page bears a hand-stamped seal of (collector?) Tachibanaya Yohei of Odawara.
